The valuable service of maintaining orderly conduct within the halls is the function of the Student Patrol. The mem¬ bers of the Student Patrol take on a sense of responsibility and help promote citizenship and loyalty which reflects the pride of our students for our school. New members were nominated from junior and senior homerooms and selected by former members. Advisors for the current year were Mr. Woodin and Mr. Lyon. Officers for the year were: Captain, Ed. Previte, N. Maguire, S. Canders. Serving as guides to visitors throughout our Jr. -Sr. High School may be found members of the Receptionist club. Currently this organization consists of approximately forty junior and senior girls maintaining at least an 82 scholastic average. A receptionist member can always be found in the main lobby ready to offer her services to visitors, guests, teachers and our administration. Mrs. Copeland is the advisor for 61- ' 62 and schedules receptionist appointments. 23

Caswell. Quill Staff The Quill Staff may be found every month very busy writing articles, laying out news pages and doing the actual printing of all activities which pertain to our school. Working on the Quill provides valuable experience to the staff as many of students plan on entering the future years in the field of Journalism. Guiding the Quill staff are advisors Mrs. Crandall, Miss McGinnis, Mrs. Lester and Mr. Sestak with the editor staff consisting of editor-in-chief, Barbara Lester; news editor, Kathy Haley; feature editor, Kathy Hillier; sports editor, Bill Mor¬ ton; typing editor, Ellen Knapp; business manager, Dan Starr and layout editor Charlene Harris. 22

Senior Honor Society Junior Honor Society Scholarship, service, leadership and character well describe the functions of Mrs. Copeland ' s Senior Honor Society. Members aid other organizations, teachers and tutor students after school, as well as as¬ sisting in study halls.
