Working on the Quill provides valuable experience to the staff as many of students plan on entering the future years in the field of Journalism. The Chenango Valley yearbook, WARRIOR, is a pictorial view of all phases of education and student life in and around our school. This year ' s work, under the leadership of Mr. Charles J. Osborne, has worked very diligently to produce this 1962 edition of the Warrior. Directing the various phases of yearbook work were our two co-editors Marge Axtell and Judy Cark- ner and their editorial staff consisting of Business Manager, Jim Murphy; Senior Editor, Peg Michael; Literary Editor, Joy Cooper, Treasurer, Joyce Harrison; Sports Editor, Ed. The valuable service of maintaining orderly conduct within the halls is the function of the Student Patrol. The mem¬ bers of the Student Patrol take on a sense of responsibility and help promote citizenship and loyalty which reflects the pride of our students for our school. New members were nominated from junior and senior homerooms and selected by former members. Advisors for the current year were Mr. Woodin and Mr. Lyon. Officers for the year were: Captain, Ed. Currently this organization consists of approximately forty junior and senior girls maintaining at least an 82 scholastic average. A receptionist member can always be found in the main lobby ready to offer her services to visitors, guests, teachers and our administration. Mrs. Copeland is the advisor for 61- ' 62 and schedules receptionist appointments. 23
