During these six years, we have met many challenges which at first appeared insurmountable, yet we have always found ways to conquer them. The results of these efforts have made our high school years truly memorable. As we stand on the threshold of a new world, we cast one last lingering look at the institution which has laid the foundation for our future. Here we have made new friends, some of which will endure a lifetime. Certainly, the class of Nineteen Hundred and Sixty Two can never forget the fond memories and cherished traditions of our alma mater . . . Chenango Valley. The senior class of 1962 proudly dedicates its most treasured memory, the year¬ book, to Mrs. Margaret Hardy. It has been through her enthusiastic teaching, won¬ derful sense of humor and friendly personality that has made her one of the best loved teachers in Chenango Valley. She will always be remembered, admired and respected for her continuous efforts in teaching mathematics, directing our junior proms and supervising our junior bake sales. As a token of our gratitude, we, the senior class of 62, dedicate this year’s Warrior to you . . . Mrs. Hardy.- FACU 6 Board of Education GEORGE W. BROWNLOW, JR. HAROLD JONES ROBERT L. It has been through your leadership and foresight that we have achieved the standards by which the students of Chenango Valley may go forth into the world knowing we are prepared to make our way in life. Wher¬ ever our paths may take us in life, you may be sure that within our hearts we are very appreciative of all you have done. THOMAS DUNCAN ARTHUR JENNINGS JOHN B. CRAWFORD JOHN LEVONICK HOWELL D. Chenango Valley ' s 1961 football team started out a very successful season with consecutive victories over Waterloo, Carthage, Maine-Endwell, Owego, Notre Dame of Elmira and Susquehanna Valley. Injuries plagued the team with the result that the final two contests ended with losses to Eastwood and Homer, giving Chenango Valley a very respectable 6 won and 2 loss season. After such a successful year as 1961, and with a very limited number of graduates on the current squad, the prospects for a very bright year ahead are forecast. M t SCORES C. These practice sessions help prepare these boys for the com¬ petitive games in which they indulge with area schools. This constant drill could also be said to be one of the major reasons why Chenango Valley has won the Sidney Christmas Tournament for the third straight year. The boys and the coach are to be congratulated for the fine sportsmanship and spirit which they have shown during the past basketball season. 42 COACH SHARPSTEEN Junior Varsity Football ROW 3: J.
