HISTORY N1ne l1ttle people started out on a new adventure one September day IH 1941 Carol Kocak Mary Agnes Qu1nn, Jean Harshaw, Kelth Huston, Mary LOUISE Glfford Kelth Hyde Martha Heath, and Gordon Thompson and June Huston were the lucky ones to have Mrs Hulburt for thelr f1rst teacher The year rolled by and they all got promoted to Mrs Kenyon s and Mlss McKune s second grade F1ve more students Jomed the group They were Engla Stevens, Lo1s Heath R1chard Sharpe D1ck M1lls, and Shxrley Card By the th1rd grade these l1ttle people felt qulte grown up, but st1ll learned a lot from then' teacher M1ss McKune The newcomers th1s year were Reva Outman, Jerry Cole, Betty Turna, and Joe Kropac Mrs Sparks rece1ved no new students 1n the fourth grade In the f1fth grade Joyce Jeffrey was the new glrl the boys all fell for The whole class and Mrs Palmer were sorry to see June Huston leave In the S1Xth grade the new g1rl was Rosa Dudley Rosa had been w1th the group and left so many t1mes they were all practlcally fr1ends Mrs Pre1sler sa1d they were all demons The class was spl1t 1nto two groups 1n the seventh year and Mrs Hollenbeck, and Mrs Butts were appolnted to teach them Jamce Hulbert, Leo W1ser, Norma Bruce, and Dolores Card found lt fun to Jo1n 1n these groups W1th no newcomers 1n the eighth grade, Mrs Mc Gowan helped the klds have some fun They put out thelr own elghth grade classbook Aga1n the group was d1v1ded 1n the mnth grade Mr Perry gett1ng one half Mr Reltz the other They ga1ned D1ck Weston, and George Doxey, only to lose Aust1n Lord Art Cade, Judy Stowell, and Glen Bemdlct The tenth grade saw a lot of newcomers Mrs Duffy herself was new but guxded the class w1th the help of Mr Barrett Joe Patak was the only boy, w1th Ann Clements Ga1l Youngs, Joyce Dav1s, Cynthla De Vle1ger, and June Huston, to Jom the class They were all busy work1ng to make money, but st1ll sorry to see Gordon Eggleston and Don Culver leave The eleventh grade and fmally Jumors What a thrlll Conn1e Bennett Jomed the class 1n the fun of plannmg for the Prom The kmg, George Doxey and queen, Ga1l Youngs, strolled down Memory Lane to the musxc of Al Regne s orchestra The Junlor Prom was the blggest and best event 1n the1r l1ves Euleta Culver, Jamce Haskell, Tommy Meyers, Joan Davern, and Clalr Roma1n left, taklng wxth them the memorles of the good t1mes they had Semors at last All busy maklng plans for a New York Trlp Kenneth Casterlme, a new semor stayed a few months then left We lost Jo Ann Huns1nger and Jerry Doxey too A semors l1fe IS a busy one Plannlng for the tr1p tests, graduat1on, and p1ctures are only a few of the thmgs semors crowd 1nto a busy year But after graduat1on we'll probably w1sh we were back IH school agam Zh ' a J 1 J . . 9 ' !
