Just one more year and then we'l.l be out on our own. After we elected our officers, we decided to sell Christmas cards. Our class rings were ordered and came after we returned from Christmas' vacation. Were we glad to get them. At our February dance, Carolyn St. John and George Doxey were crowned King and Queen of Basketball. On May 15 we had our Junior Prom. Some of our members were very active in sports. We had three Varsity basketball players and two Junior Varsity players as well as three Varsity cheerleaders. Some of us took part in the various clubs throughout the year, and we are all looking forward to next year and graduation. During October, November, and December we sold candy and in September we sold Curtis and Col1ier's magazines for the Seniors. Some of the boys in the eighth grade were on the Junior High Basketball team. They won 4 out of the 8 games they played. Some were on the baseball team with Mr. Spaulding as coach. Many of the girls joined Junior High Chorus and participated in the Spring Festival held in May. Many of us earned honor roll pins and we studied hard for Regents which were some- thing new to us.
