I won'l' make a Ion ..1- 5 g speech, but Student Council More than ever this year Student Council acted as the driving force behind many school activities. Councilites began the year by voting the proceeds from a football game to help rebuild the damaged high school in Clinton, Tennessee. Interest in the new high school building ran high, and Council members set a goal of one thousand dollars for a library fund. Their money- making projects included the student show- ing of Alexander the Great and the sale of paperback books. Guided by its able sponsor, Mr. Joseph Guarneri, the Council helped plan the third annual JAC Dance, furthering inter-school relations and gaining money for a scholar- ship fund. Homerooms hustled to collect for the Council's carefully planned charity drives. The spring found the group or- ganizing the successful spaghetti dinner and the annual Cheltenham Hi-Day Bazaar. ggi ' Shldeni Council Officers: Sandy Jacobs, Didi Adshead, Sponsor Mr. Guar- neri, Chrissu Brickmon, Jirnmy Rosenthal. 22
