Planning An Assembly Mrs. Dorothy Lambert The Assembly Committee, capably directed by Mrs. Dorothy Lambert, is composed of sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Each year, the group selects and schedules three programs featuring professional talent. They also assist in planning other programs, such as talent shows, sports demonstrations, and student skits. The first specified program presented this year was the daring performance of Mr. Robert Terry, champion archer, Mr. Terry has devoted his life to archery and at one time worked for the film industry in Hollywood. The second program was an amazing liquid air demonstration by Mr. John Sloan, a former science teacher, who spent many years of his life in research and experimentation with liquid air. 'iff' .i .fc es Check and Double Check Symbol of academic thought, leader in student action, the high school newspaper has played an increasingly important part in the curriculum in the last few years. Mindful of its obligations, the Cheltonian, bi-weekly journal of Cheltenham High, has given to its subscribers a fair and accurate description of all student activities, and also information on pertinent outside enterprises. The goals of good journalism have been continually emphasized by the CheItonian's sponsor, Miss Juanita M. Downes. Under the student leadership of George Broder, editor-in-chief, Cheltenham's Fourth Estate has produced a paper that is ac- claimed by the student body itself, and given the highest rating by national press organizations.
