A ri , :T -fr frfplip VTQW' T ' l 7, -:'5 - S 'DT v flilgllii-'fl The annual school play, The Great Bi Q Doorstep, played at CHS the weekend of December 8 and 9 Presenting the Crochet family, Jackie Feldenkreis, Harry Jordan Anne Zinman, Debbie Fisher, Betty and Sandy Weldon, Gary Kirschbaum and Ken l.uchs together with Doug Nachod, Ann Hazlett Elaine Ashby, and Roger Abrahams in sup porting roles, the play was an outstanding event in '50 at CHS anyway, Jane Altman and Ann Berkowitz appl ied the thespians' make-up, while John Jaeger and Don Miller took care of the sound effects Nancy Kohler's Property Committee spent many hectic days trying to find all the props necessary for the performance With Mr Weston directing and Miss Pitcairn assisting not much prompting was needed, but Grace Lotke and Elsa-Lu Greenblatt were on the job The preparatory weeks were filled with re hearsals and constant work on scenery and costumes. Barbara Welchons' Scenery Com mittee, together with Mr. Hoopes, Mr. Kun kle, and the Industrial Arts Department, p FO duced the scenery, while Joan Shuman, Mar iorie Lederer, and Helen Weiss prepared the COSTLJFYWGS. nd At the same time, Mrs. Frances Link a Homeroom 208 were kept busy with the tick et sales. Ruth Conaway headed this commit lee. When the big night finally arrived, Bob Tankinsan's stage crew played a major part in lighting and setting the stage Sounds Like a Boat
