Dr, Ashby has made an excellent beginning at Cheltenham and has already won the respect and esteem at the students. Acting as administrative assistants to the Principal are Mr. F Robert Samuels, Mr. Al- bert E Weston, and Mr, Wilbur B. Lehman. Mr. Samuels is in charge of rosters and exam- ination schedules, Mr Weston's work includes revising the curriculum from year to year, and Mr. Lehman is the disciplinarian ot the school, Dr, Lois M. Gould, guidance counselor ot the high school, keeps in touch with the schoe lastic progress of all students and assists them in making college and vocational choices. In addition, Dr. Gould also offers her competent services outside ot the school as a consultant in counselor training and as Vice President ofthe Vocational Guidance Associa- tion. Kelly, President, Mr William M. l-louldin, Vice President, Mr George L. Lambert, Treasurer, Mr. Francis Markley, Secretary, Dr. Roland J. Christy, Mr. William B. Yoder, and Mrs. Frances Feaster. At present, one of the outstanding problems confronting the school board is the 5896 in- crease in elementary school enrollment. To- ward this end, a new elementary school is now under construction in the Lynnewood Gardens section, and plans are being formulated for another school to be built in Rowland Park. To these members, who unseltishly contrib- ute their time, goes much of the credit for our excellent school system, Dr. Frank C.
