Just as a painter creates a picture on canvas, or a sculptor creates a thing of beauty out of clay, a cabinetmaker creates a thing of beauty out of wood. A cabinetmaker has a little of every art in him. Before he starts his actual work, a plan must be made. This is where creative thinking comes in. When he starts on the job, his hands and mind work automatically together to create something of his own for others to enjoy and admire. Did you ever notice a crowd around a painter in a park? Well, you're sure to find a crowd around in the cabinetmaking shop too. lt's like a magnet that draws you for a closer look, to admire and, sometimes, to criticize. This trade stands apart from all the other trades because of the workers' thinking. It end-from binet. It is Besides is all up to him from beginning to a plank of wood to a modern ca- all up to his hands and his mind. making people comfortable the cabinetmaker creates things of beauty.
