SCIENCE Maurice Pearlman The department of science attempts to evoke interest in the students to study as many branches as possible. In today’s world of ever- increasing discoveries of scientific knowledge, an uneducated citizenry can be catastrophic to our country. During the last 6 or 7 years we have more than doubled all our knowledge since the dawn of history up to the mid-seven¬ ties. Because of this and other considerations we have established modern laboratories to teach earth science, biology, chemistry, and physics as well as subdivisions of these main areas. We have added semester courses to our regular full year courses to help our stu¬ dents seek out areas they like. After all, suc¬ cess breeds success. If we can inculcate prop¬ er attitudes to learn in our students, we will be able to influence their ability to learn. Richard Walsh Anthony Cardarelli Joseph Slater Eileen Fishman

Not only does it at¬ tempt to instill in students a sense of history, an inquisitiveness for information and a mastery of subject matter, but most importantly it challenges students to think about the responsibility one owes to one’s self, one’s family, and this nation as they stride towards adulthood.
