Because of his leadership, organization, and enthusiasm we have grown from classmates into friends, working for a common goal. He was not only concerned about us as a class but he also helped us on an individual and personal basis. We, the Class of 1978, wish to express our gratitude by dedicating the Beacon to our class advisor and more importantly, our friend, Mr. Richard Fineran. 2 © AFFAiRS Vo onne ryo. The 1977-78 C.H.S. teams proved to be no exception. The most successful Red Devil Tracklteam has been the Cross Country team. Spearheaded by seniors Bobby Goss and Paul Rosati, this team com¬ piled a very commendable 7-2 record. With highly tutored juniors like Richard Bradley, the Cross Country team should continue its success. The C.H.S. indoor track also had a fairly success¬ ful season. Despite a 5-5 record, the team provided the school with some momentous events, especially the continuing successes of Mr. Goss. We move finally to the outdoor track teams. Notice we said teams not team. The 1977 outdoor track season saw the advent of a girls track team at C.H.S. Considering this to be the team ' s first year in the league, its 2-3 record is certainly a com¬ mendable one. The boys outdoor track season was also a very commendable one. Led by such senior stalwarts as Peter Yee, Mike Hancock, Leo Quevillon, and Brian Hurton, this team finished the 77 season with a successful 5-3 record and eagerly awaits the 78 competition. ■ 3 ft : a mm Play ita agin Sam. v Is this how you feel the morning after the night be¬ fore.
