lseepinq with the Ineriizau Engiish, like democracy, is an integral part of our lives. We speak, read, write, and think in English. There is never a day in which we do not use it. Here, in school, we become acquainted with authors ofthe past and present. And, with the aid of our teachers we improve our vocab- ularies, our reading ability and our spelling. Thus we learn to express ourselves clearly, to form our own opinions, and to communicate with others-three foundations for a sound democracy. In short, through English we learn to think for ourselves, And, by thinking for ourselves we make ours a working and living democracy.
