The Chelan I-Ii h School Band has been very active this year. lt performed at football and basietball games, at the District Basketball Tournament in Grand Coulee, at the Annual Christmas Concert, the Band Party, the Annual Music Festival in Wenatchee, the Apple Blossom Festival Parade, the Manson Apple Blossom Festival, and the Memorial Day Parade. Leon Petit was selected to play in the State Band. Edwin Bliss and James Gaukroger were selected to play at the Music Camp in Oregon. Barton Shively received the Honor Musician Award for the year for musi- cianship, honor points, habits, and attitude toward the band. game! Other activities in which the chorus par- ticipated were the County Wide Music Festival at Wenatchee and the Music Picnic. Kay Platt was the accompanist for the chorus. FRONT ROW: D. Kibby, G. WQN' -P. 41. .. - Tr S ,-4113 In the fall of 1955, the Chelan High School Art Club held its first meeting. During the year, the Club had meetings after school and in the evenings. At these meetings, a con- stitution was adopted and art techniques were dis- cussed. The purpose of the Art Club was to render art services to the school, encourage private study of art, and to prepare posters and displays.
