They were Arthur Campbell, Howard Van Slyke, Ida Jacobs, and Blanche Ayres. The Commencement speaker was Professor Maynard Lee Dayy, speech teacher at the State College of Washington. His subject was A Twentieth Century Education. J. A. Van Slyke, chairman of the school board, handed out the diplomas. Exercises were held in the old auditorium which burned in 1928. The 1907 class was the first to study in the brick grade school building, now the industrial building. The front section of the present high school was built in 1925. The first gymnasium was built in 1930 and replaced by the present gymnasium in 1950. West and east wings of the high school were built during the l930's. Room 36 was used for the first time in 1935. The home economics laboratory was completed in 1940. The science room was occupied as a shop in 1941. .0 S .5 llltxv , h . m U - f 1' as s v5 , -:Q mf' T .av M, -' , , r iff . -' I , A n ' .
