6' n 1 JUNIOR PLAY S On the night of February 19, the Juniors presented a thrgen act comedy, nJanle's One Track Mlnd', with Martina Carrol play' ing the lead, The play centered around Janie, a young high school Fraduv ate in a small 1nland town dur1ng the denresslon.who,slnce she cannot find a Job, decides to land herself a husband, Ccnvinc ed that glamour is the answer to landing vart1n Richardson, wealthy bachelor, she talks a group of friends into taking a glamour course with her, The play was under the 'reduction of Miss Blanche B1xby, SENIOR PLAY Playmng to a capac1ty audience, the senior cast turned a typical three act comedy, Young Vr, Standish, 1nto a very in teresting story In splte of a last mlnute change from Gerald Hinton to Harold Snyder in the part of Roger Hayes, and its resultant confusion, each member of the cast gave a creditable performance, with the honors going to Io Ann Rogers, Reid Morton Norma Harper, and Howdy Davis, in their excellent character pero trayals of older people, Under the supervision of Robert Loidhamer, the Chelan Chap' ter of F,F A undertook many projects, Jim McGuire was a delegate to the State Convention held at ',S C, in Pullman, Loren Hastings spoke on DDT in W6DBtOh60'l District Public Speaking Contest, George Talley and J1m McGuire took the oral and written tests on Co operative Marketing that were gxven in Yak1ma, The theme for their dance held in Aprll, was that of a barn with bales of hay and corn stalks furnishing the decoration while str ins of hill b11ly music kept the couples dancing rx e ff I in 9' QQ LJ 5 L.
