SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS RON ROFFLER Sgt. At Arms RUTH RUZICKA Vice-President TOM NISBET President JEANETT E ANDERSON Secretary PAT HOTSKO Treasurer CLASS HISTORY - The Class of '55 entered the new Chehalis High School that day in September, 1951, as the first freshmen class ever to be included in the school. C. H. S. was new and strange to us then, as it was to nearly everyone, but under the leadership of Kay Bennett, our class president, we gradually began to take part in the activities and to make a place for ourselves in the school. Leading the class during our Sophomore year was John Spears. We were more and more becoming an important factor in school life. The activities we sponsored preceeding the Thanksgiving Day football game were climaxed by a huge pep rally and bonfire. At our Sophomore Hop, School Daze, we'honored the Seniors. During our .lunior year we began to prepare for our task as leaders of the school. Mike McCluskey was our class president, and our members were active in all phases of school life, including athletics, dramatics, iournalism, music, and Student Council. A wide variety of talent from our own student body was present at our talent show. Dancing in a Rose Room were those who attended our Junior Prom, which was one of the highlights of the spring. As Seniors the members of the class of '55 took their place as leaders of C. H. S. Tom Nisbet was chosen our class president, and members of our class were prominent in every activity. Falling Leaves was the theme of our Fall Formal, and with the proceeds from our senior play we had a memorable class picnic in the spring. Following our Baccalaureate service, which was impressive and inspiring, came the greatest occasion of all-Commencement. As we went forth to receive our awards, we thought again of that day in September, 1951, when as freshmen we entered Chehalis High School. We look with pride at our achievements during these past years, and as the first class to com- plete four years in Chehalis High School, we leave, wishing the best of luck to all future classes.
