f gr Front row Ardy ce Davenport, Secretary, Wendy Mercer President Back row Axel All Vice l resident Alstad Serveant At Arm Sewer Glass Ofhvers Q Theola Vollman, Treasurer Gene IP just three short years ago we the class of 1951 entered grand old Chehalis High School Little did we think at that time that we would be the last Sophomore class to be initiated into the old B h there was a great earthquake building which he ld so many memories for so many alumni ut t en l new Chehalls High School will be realized But and we are lookin, forward to the day wien a l before tus ne The journey here and now must start and friend from dearest friend must part so now we from out the heart farewell farewell ' Yes now the time has come for us to say farewell to eve had a high c oo say a our underelas men friends our teachers and all the Fool time- w students let us pause now and look back on the time when we were Sophomores We were a large cla s of anxiety hope and ambition Our class sponsored the Sophomore Hop in honor of the graduating Seniors of the class of 49 Also that same year we gathered wood and rubbish to make the huge bon fire for the Thanksgiving game pep rally lt was a large success and a lot of fun Without a doubt that Sophomore year was a non forgettable mne months When we came back to school as Juniors we found ourselves upperclassmen and a little more rown up but still wide awake and acitve We sponsored the all school talent show working a hitfull production There was the choosing and disagreements of our class rings and pins wut all were satisfied when the decision was made Npril in Iaris was the theme we chose for our Junior Prom and again we all worked success that it was The decorations lent an air of festive French Spring L tovether to make it together to make it the to the Cascade Ballroom Not too long ago the curtain rose on our last year in high school As Seniors we were the star of thi tam of life and led the wax in manv activities The highlights of this final xear haw been the sictorw over Centralia on Thanksgiving Day and again on the basketball court the high caliber of our school publications and radio programs the success of our basketball baseball and track teams the superb performances in our Senior Play Our Hearts Were Young and Gas a Senior Picnic which will never be forgotten and of course Baccalaureate on May 27 and finallv on Vlay 31st Commencement lNovs as graduates the curtam is rung down for the last tlme on our high school careers We d lt ust as we entered as Sophomores with anxiety hope and leave confidently now as a u s J ambition 4' A' 4 YK 1 X I AM, i' z y , fl. . 1 , 9 M 1-I N . , F'-' t e V ft ,JZ V 4 ' f V - 1 fe 2 f ' ' , - 5 - ' . .
