These form the Board of Control of the Student Council which is the governing body of the school, The elections are held early in the spring so that the newly elected officers can assume their duties at the beginning of the following year. Carol Mullan, the first girl president in over fifteen years, has set an example that will be hard to excell. Second in command was Ken Schwartz as vice-president, former publicity manager. Following in the footsteps of her older sisters, Beverly Cagley served as ASB secretary. The responsible job of treasurer was handled by Esther Bieker. She had charge of all student body funds. As publicity manager, Joanne Nesbit publicized school activities and sport contests. Pat Emerson and Baldy Oliphant, Song Queen spirit, never dampened by the weather, boosted the Tom Ditz kept order in Student Body meetings l.lil5'l' TO RIGHT: Ncwigud Dity, lsbcrg, Caglcy. Beginning with the initiation dance at which we wore clothes in style of the first grade, we joined en- thusiastically all the activities we could. As Sophornores we contributed several athletes to various sports and combined our talents into a Sophomore Assembly. We romped gaily through our first high school year and ended it honoring the Seniors with a Sophomore Hop, the theme of which was Under the Big Top. Our class officers for that year were Carol Mullan, president, Ann Lee Nowadnick, vice-president, Polly Deshler, secre- tary, Barbara Fowler, treasurer, and Leon Allie, sergeant-at-arms. The following year we put on our more reserved manner, as becomes Juniors, and elected Gene Cole, president, Don Schuster, vice-president, Barbara Fowler, secretary, John Kostick, treasurer, and Louie Shat- tuck, sergeant-at-arms, Our members participated in everything from football, basketball, baseball, track, and golf to the All-School Play, CHSOTA, Crimson C1 Cray, and Chehalin. Somehow we found time to sponsor a Junior Assembly, a smoker, and of course, a wonderful Junior Prom. The decorations carried out the theme Apple Blossom Wedding. This year we donned our Senior dignity and our responsibilities were, quickly impressed upon us. Lead- ing the class for this final year was Bob Nowadnick as president, with Don Schuster, Dennis Behrens, Joan Phillipi, and Harold Burt filling the other offices. A Date With Judy, our marvelous Senior Play, pro- vided funds for a memorable Senior picnic. Baccalaureate services inspired us. Then the most impressive evening of all, graduation on June lst, when we marched down the aisle in crimson caps and gowns to receive our diplomas. We, the class of l95O, leave behind many friends, but we take with us memories of twelve years of school and go forward with the assurance that we will never forget nor be forgotten.
