TOM VENARD 'RAYMOND GUNSOLLEY NORMAN POLLOM President Vice President Sergeant-at-Arms LORRAINE LEMIEUX IOAN DONAHOE Treasurer Secretary Several members of the Class ol l943 will not tile onto the stage to receive their diplomas this year. They have leit Chehalis High to take their place in the armed forces of our country. What they are doing, the ideals for which they are fighting-that is the emblem ot the grad- uating class of l943. This year, eighty-seven students will leave Chehalis High. A small, but outstanding group, they have exemplified by their spendid achievements the spirit of our school. Frank lunkin guided the Class of l943 through its sophomore and junior years, while Tom Venard led the group through its senior year. This has been a year, where war has attempted to destroy the meaning of education- but the Seniors have accepted that challenge-they have taken a new initiative in their work. They have pursued their studies with a new seriousness and effort, tor they are preparing themselves to serve their country in its time of need. ' That effort-that desire to prepare tor the future-is the living spirit of the Class of 1943. 12 'r I
