Alden's TD came on a 17-yard pass from Dennis Mager to Don Josephite. Mager ran for two points. The game marked the close of Bucky Walters' career as head coach at Cheektowaga. Walters resigned prior to a victory over rival John F. Kennedy two weeks ago. v ,a .. U. After Coach Retires Cheektowaga coach., Bucky Walters an' in rl before the game 'he will resign after .this season and the Warriorswznt out and trimmed invading John F. Kennedy, 14-6, in an intra- town Division IV archrivalry clash. Walters switched QB Marty Muscatiello to fullback because of injuries and Muscatiello plunged two yards for a TD and converted for an 8-0 halftime edge. JFK responded with a 30- yard TD pass from Craig Stoc- zynski to Joe Pulli, but the Warriors got that back on QB Mike Hay's 43-yard pass to Tim Peterson. That was one of Hay's two completions. Muscatiello gained 102 yards in 26 runs and made a key inter- ception. Walters said he is quit- ting because he feels afterlhis four years as coach Cheek- towaga football is back where it belongs and I can bow out grace- fully. Winding up his 18th season in coaching, Walters noted the Warriors are back on winning ways and never did lose to JFK while I coached them. He had a victory cake baked last Thursday. During his four years of coaching Mr. Walters put Central football back where it belongs. The Warri- ors enjoyed many winning seasons under his training and never lost a game to J.F.K. His eighteen years of experience as a coach helped to make our team what it is today!
