,,, , YYY, DR OMER RENFROW DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT Aquarian Class of Seventy 6'When the moon is in the Seventh House And Jupiter aligns with Mars Then peace will guide the planets And love will steer the stars. This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius. So goes the hit song of a current hit musical. We may not accept the pro- nouncements of the astrologers' occult science nor this controversial musical. Nevertheless, the Age of Aquarius, labelled positively as Hhumane, intuitive, un- biased, negatively as rebellious, suspicious, inetlicientv, and career-wise as phi- losophical and scientiiic, is peculiarly akin to the changing times as We enter the 70,s. Many of our youth are troubled, concerned, frustrated, even suspicious and somewhat rebellious as they join us in the struggle against a debilitating War, seething racial and ethnic bias, depressing poverty, and deepening corruption in all quarters. And rightly so! Yet I note a very positive note among our Cheektowaga youth as they join us in what may truly become an era of peace and love and accomplishment. I think our middle and older generations have begun to do a good job of looking at life as it really is. With youth, we are beginning to focus on what it ought really to be and with effort can be. In short, our promising Class of 1970 and their strong supporting underclass- men are looking at the realities of life. They are uniquely ready for the dawning of the age of Aquariusn with all its hope and optimism. They are enthusiastic about the promise of the future as they seek to share in our universal quest for peace, love, and genuine humane achievement.
