f ,f Library Department 'X ' i LIBRARIAN: Mrs. J. Hyde. Assistant: Mrs. M. Kansky. if D A C ffl L Kei C., K 'sf-.. The library is a service institution. lts function is to provide a desirable and well balanced collection of books and materials fitted for school use. The efficiency of the library depends upon its organization for use by the pupils and teachers. A well organized and well administered school library provides an ideal situation for exploration and wider horizons. Pupil appreciation grows with its use and they come to realize that it is a place where the opportunity for self-education never ends and is only limited by the individual's persistent use. The school recognizes recreational reading as a worthwhile leisure occupation and looks to the library to provide both the opportunity for and the materials of pleasurable experiences. lt is the aim of the library to create an atmosphere favorable to the growth of the reading habit and by personal guidance to stimulate an interest in reading and research, Reading is the foundation of one's life- long education. i,.,,..,..,..
