The team had ci fair season with five wins and seven losses. This 1962 season was the first time the baseball team used the newly completed baseball diamond and field. Kohl R. Bushley, F. Serfin, T. Kopcinski, G. DiPerro, K. Carlson, G Payne, R. Theurer, C. Gies, K. Krug, H. Mercer, T. Wozniak. The purpose of the Cheektowaga Central Lettermen's Club is ill to promote all sports and athletics at Cheektowaga Central C25 to pro- mote sportsmanship and fair play in all activities and C37 to encourage underclassmen to partici- pate in school sports. Membership is open to any student who has earned a major letter. There are also privileges extended to every letterman. They may get in every home game of football,basketball, track, etc. free of charge. Last year the Lettermens' Club had a banquet at which time all lettermen brought their fathers. All lettermen received their letters and pin they earned in their respective sport. These are one of the many privileges extended to all lettermen. Every year the Lettermens' Club sponsors a 98 THIRD ROW: K. Angielczyk, F. Kopinski, E. Foy, D. Brodzin- ski, G. Stark, J. Janusczak, B. Peters, R. Ritz, J. Nikiel, D. Malachowski, J. Fogelsonger, D. Springer, T. Henry, P. Haring, J. Heitz. sports night. The money earned from this sports- night is used for buying school jackets for all senior boys, who are members of the club. There are also duties connected with mem- bership in this group. At every home game of football, the lettermen sell refreshments and pro- grams. At the home games of basketball the let- termen referee the freshmen basketball game between halftimes and they also collect tickets at these games. The Lettermens' Club is fairly new. lt was started in i959 by Mr. Frazer. Now Mr. Moyce heads the club. A constitution has been drawn to protect the rights of all lettermen. Each member has the right to vote on all matters brought up at their meetings.
