JACK GREEN In my second year teaching I instruct classes in Mechanical Draw- ing. I think that this is a real nice school; I feel much happier this year than last. CCHS has a pretty good bunch of kids. I'm a bachelor no longer because this summer I married. I like out- door activities, working with crafts, and I enjoy all types of music. RICHARD JOHNSON I teach Drivers' Education and Economics in my ninth year at CCHS. Before this school I taught at Maplewood High. I live in White Bluff. My B.S. was earned at U.T. Martin. I teach because I enjoy working with high school age group. I think this school needs to get off its backside a little bit. Duck-hunting is the one activity at which I am avid.' I think we have a good student body. This has been one of the most enjoyable years I've spent at CCHS. I love working with young people and this is why I teach. The subjects I teach arc Ornamental Horticulture, Agri- cultural Products, and Agricultural Science I and II. I've taught for 15 years; before coming to CCHS I was a teacher at Fay Trice Elementary. My wife Nannie Ruth and I have two girls and one boy. We live in Ashland City. I love hunting, fishing, and baseball. CORDELL MAJORS U 73 m 73 CS) m □ C n H o z I've taught for 6 years but not straight. I went in the service several years ago. I now teach Drivers' Education. Teaching is a way of life that when you start you can't quit. I enjoy this school and student body which is the finest in the state. JIMMY MAXEY JIMMIE CHAPMAN I teach Trades and Industry. I spent part of my eight years as a teacher in Waverly. I live at Pegram with my wife Carolyn and our four children. Church work interests me. At the University of Tennessee I obtained my Bachelors Degree. I enjoy teaching young men a trade, and hope they will benefit from it later on. It's a nice school with a lot of friendly people. I live at Rt. 5, Ashland City with my wife Carolyn and baby daughter Marcie Ann. This is my fifth year here and I teach Vocational Cooperative Education. Business Administration was my major at U.T. Knoxville where I received a B.S. Any form of sports interests me and I like to work with livestock. I teach because I enjoy teaching. We have a good school and a real fine student body. BRENDA BOYTE I teach Art and Advanced Composition. While I enjoy art, I prefer teaching English. This is my 13th year at Cheatham County High School. I live at 'Possum Trot. When I acquired a husband last summer, I also acquired an interest in hunting. Music and Orama are other outside interests. Teaching is a good profession for me be- cause it makes me keep learning. I sometimes think I learn more from my students than they learn from me. h- CD O' LU Suzanne and Amy are Deborah's and my children and we live in Ashland City. I teach American History and Freshman English in my second year here at CCHS. I am a graduate of Eastern Michigan University. Sports interest me and I like working around the house. I believe in kids and helping them whether it's educating or not. I guess I've never been able to face up to leaving school. DAVID MAJEWSKI' 32
