Club seeks to enable its members to study history and development oflour public schools. It attempts to se- cure information on teaching careers for the members. The F.T.A. tries to uphold the teaching profession in the eyes of the students who are not members . The Club sponsors a Valentine party each year for the faculty . We have taken part in F.T.A. tours of the University of Chatta- nooga. Our paper drives sponsor the activities of the club. as f A . Q S ' The Public Speaking, De- bating, and Salesmanship Club is designed to prepare its members for a more success- ful and satisfying life. The club helps our members to become more effective public speakers. Today, when one is a good public speaker, he can serve his community in the roles of leadership . When our members learn to debate, they train them- selves to gather all the facts on any given subject before forming public opinion. Our members are given the basic principles of spell- ing in the salesmanship de- partment of our club. Sales- manship is the most potent force in keeping the wheels of industry moving.
