To rail at fate, concluding Our life is all a trial, Is follyg for each heartache Is mastered by a smile. When high school days are over, And cares ourlives o'er lay, Then. to our hearts the richest joys Will come with memory. We'll watch the golden Enger Of life's slowly setting sun Point to forgotten treasures dear- Our memories, one by one. Joi-INNIE CHESTNUTT 1 si HAPPY DAYS In every rank, of great or small, 'Tis industry supports us all. -Gay. How precious is the remembrance of things well done. We happily pause today to review our achievements and pleasures while at Chattanooga High School. We are justly proud of spending these three years here and, though lost to sight, to memory dear they ever will remain. September 8, 1931-just a date, but, nevertheless, a significant one. On that bright fall mornin five hundred ten somewhat bewildered, sophomores gathered, from far and wide, in the halls oig the school they were to love so well. From the be inning an earnest will to do was shown .by the largest class ever to enter Chattanooga High, No sooner were the oihcers: Norvon Clark, president: Sara Lois Dent, vice-presidentg Glenn Liner, secretary: and Betty Gene Gilbert, treasurer elected and Miss O'Grady chosen as sponsor than the Class of '34 was oil' to a flyin start. For its grst undertaking the class sponsored a handbook of information for new students. Publication of this book has since become the annual sophomore project. There was no opportunity for the sophomores to present a play but, to the disappoint- ment of the upper classmen, they dramatically rode off on the Old Gray Mare with the Stunt Nite cu . Wghing to enrich the traditions of High School, the class established the Sophomore Achievement Award which is iven each year to the senior who, in the eyes of the sophomores, has contributed most to his class. When the East Tennessee State Orchestra gave a concert in Knoxville the live sophomores who played were: Herman Colquitt, Benjamin Franklin, Lois Shelley, Gladys Stonestreet, and John Whitten. Sophomores took definite parts in the various activities of the- school, proudly establishing their leadership when Hope Davies was elected the school cheerfleader and when the swimming team numbered several sophomores among its members. Those who swam werep Arthur jones, .Norvon Clark, Hope Davies, and Harry Rusbridge. Back again! The fall of '32 found the class, now juniors, assembled and repared to re- sume its march under Norvon Clark, president, Horace Hamby, vice'presiden'l:g'g1fary Elizabeth King, secretaryg and Betty Gene Gilbert, treasurer. The launching was complete with the refelection of Miss O'Grady as skipper. ' The Erst responsibility to be accepted by the juniors was the publication of the Maroon and White. The paper was very commendably managed' by editonin-chief Sara Lois Dent, businessmanager Kenneth Clarke, and their 'unior staff. The 'unior play, 'The Whole Town's Talking was capably directed by Mr. Barnett I. Service. Leading roles were played by Margaret Robertson and Roland Selman. They were supported by: Virginia Olson, Lenna Mae Reaves, james Steakley, Vance Holdam, Johnnie Chestnutt, Richardia Martin. Carolyn Brockett, Dorothy Lawson, Evelyn Cline, Hope Davies, Ruth Smith, and Mary Ruth Catron. Next came Stunt Nite. The juniors were working hard to put over their part in the success of this event. Many talented juniors were Stunt Nite performers, but their greatest hope was to win again the coveted cup. To make it twice in a row the O'Grady coached stunters were .awarded the cup for their 'Animated Billboardsf' Another honor came to the junior class when Virginia Olson won the humorous reading championship of the sisth district in the contest held at Knoxville. Several juniors were instrumental in or anizing the Kodak Club, a progressive activity which has as its goal the teaching of the fundamentals in photography. This' widefawake group also seized an opportunity tofassist in enlarging the recreational program of the school by adding two horsefshoe 'pits to the campus. The custom of entertaining the .Seniors with a prom was revived by the class of '34, and in the gayly decorated m everyone enjoyed the crowning event of the social calendar. Many juniors were megbers of the band which placed third in the national contest at Evansville, ndiana and later played at the Century of Progress World's Fair at Chicago. Was it so? It was too good to be true. Seniors-at last! Our s irits were exuberant, but mingled with them was a feeling of sober regret. We loved our school that we were so soon to leave, but the class journeyed on meriting and enjoying the pleasures of its rank. - Upon the shoulders of Horace Hamby rested the president's mantle. His able assistants were: enneth Clarke, vicefpresidentg Mary Elizabeth King, secretary, Norvon Clark, treasurer, who also was elected president of the student body. Again the determination of the class to be a winner was shown-Miss O'Grady was chosen to lead the class to the completion of its ourne . J Olixr first decision concerned the Dynamo. A change was necessary and the annual board searched near and far for the best type. The Dynamo of '34 speaks for itself, but the success of it is largely due to the patient work of Sara Lois Dent, editor-in'chiefg Julian Wilson, busif ness managerg Kenneth Clarke, assistant business managerg and Mabel Ingle, art editor, Athletics have played their part in the history of our class. The services of Sam Keith, Wilfred Sweets, and Eugene Johnston attest our participation in footballg while the winning of the city title and the eleventh district basket'ball championship was aided in no small measure by Edgar Jolly, Noble Simmons, Ed Parks, and Billy Teppenpaw. Sam Keith provided coaching in boxing and Norvon Clark gave instructions in wrestling to a group of interested boys. Wilfred Sweets brought distinction to C. H. S. when he placed second in the Times five'mile race under Maroon and White colors. Margie Carson has been the outstanding girl athlete during her three years at C. H. S. Other leaders were Nancy Hill, Mabel Lynn Paris, and Peggy Jackson. The Parent-Teacher Association had been working long and perseveringly to give the school a much felt need. Their dream and ours, was realized upon the completion this year of the new athletic field. Grateful for this service of the P. T. A. the seniors willingly lent their help in the plank sale to assist in paying for the fence. I Seniors have looked on with surprise at the results the economic depression fpage Mr. Hooverj has wrought upon the appearance of the building. Through the C. W. A. the interior has been redecorated and many necessary repairs made. Big events must yet be recorded-the Christmas-party for the orphans?-one of the best High School has known. Miss Lillian Patton brought fairyland to the stage when she created the realistic, white Christmas scene that served as the setting for the program. Next-Stunt Nite! Everyone was keyedfup, anxiously awaiting the presentation. The show, a typical Service production, went oil' in fine fashion before one of the largest audi- ences ever assembled at High School. Effort to win was ,shown in all the stunts given. The decision was made-the cup was presented-the senior class was the proud recipient-three wins in a row. Friday, April the thirteenth marked the outstanding class event,- The Phantom Tiger directed by Mr. Service was successfully presented as the senior play. Norvon Clark and Mary Elizabeth King were convincing in the leading roles. The others in the cast were: Eleanor Overend, Harry Carver, Virginia Olson, Bill Hoback, Sara Lois Dent, Dan Norris, Goldie Raider, Hope Davies, Peggy Skelton, and Jesse Sims. Music hath charms, 'tis said. Among our talented members were: Ed Poste, Gladys Stone' street, Margaret Wasson, Arthur Jones, Bill Shope, Harold Farrar, Karl Andrews, Sam Keith, Seamore Shavin, John Whitten, Ben Franklin, Jaunita Peay, and Ruth Patton. The highest ranking oiiice in the R. O. T. C. was held by Major Julian Wilson. Other members of the staff were: Captains: Hope Davies, Julius Cogswell, Clifford Dudley,,Eugene Johnston, Ed Poste, and Lieutenant Adjutant Robert Walters. Inspiration was afforded them by Evadene Turner, battalion sponsor, Mabel Ingle, Mildred Counts, Nancy Smith, company sponsors: and Vivian Allen, band sponsor. ,Thirty two of our number attained coveted membership in the National Honor Society: namely Lucia Brabham, Raymond Burke, Julius Cogswell, Julian Wilson, Vance Holdam, Betty Gene Gilbert, Sara Lois Dent, Virginia Olson, Margaret Robertson, Marguerite Meyer, Robert Newton, Winifred Shaw, Johnnie Chestnutt, Louise Davis, Ray Bryan, John Bauerle, Evadene Turner, Richard Lynn, Edward Poste, Jane Fergus, Gladys Stonestreet, Mary Elizabeth King, George McMillan, Miriam Edelstein, Mabel Ingle, Dessie Jenkins, Clifford Dudley, Harmon Smith, Margaret Wright, Roland Selman, Mark Woods, Edgar Jolly. In various costumes the seniors brought together the brotherhood of men in the halls of High School on Senior Day. The queen-the gentleman--the farmer-the clown-they were all there and were having the time of their lives. Never shall we forget the Marx brothers, the mountain family out for a ride, the luncheon at which our president presided, or the chapel program-acclaimed the best ever. Toda we regretfully leave the school that has meant so much to us. The days spent here will be ever cherished memories and now we, each one of the class of '34 look forward as hope points us onward to life. ' ' -MARK Woobs. .. S ' A sl' PROPHECY OF THE CLASS OF '34 Another night alone! Two days in New York and I have not seen a person I know. Oh well! I might just as well go to the opera, at least I can pass the time away. I arrive at the Metropolitan Opera House where Faust is being sung and End at the box office, Katherine Decker, ready, to take my hard-earned cash. Upon entering the lobby, I am shocked to find my old friend, james Steakley, in a grand uniform-only the doorman. While I kill time before the opening number, a tall fellow hails me. Fearing a touch, I give him the cold shoulder, but his persistence wins. My joy is genuine when I find that he is none other than Ken Clarke, reporter and critic for the New York Times. Critic Clarke is very voluble and many old times are recalled. But now the opera is to 'begin and we go to his box. ' A stentorian voice-whose? Well, none other than Hope Davies, the loud-mouthed cheer leader of yesterday. Davies heralds 'the entrance of the stars. A silvery note arouses me. Can it be-yes, Margaret Robertson the great opera star, who performs tonight as Marguerite, John Barry in the person of Faust, and Miriam Edelstein who is Martha. Clarke is talking again. What is he saying? Robert Walters is director of the dance assisted by the Adonic Earl Gryder. This Clarke boy certainly knows his news. He tells me that Julius Cogswell is the editor of the Times assisted by Eugene McBrayer, John Bauerle, Raymond Burke and Bd Ferguson. I learn that Telfair Brooke, Jack Hall, Wilbur Hixon, Alex Parker, and joseph Samuel are reporters. Gretchen Kaiser heads the art department with Carl Shutting as assistant. Clifford Dudley is city editor with Emil Grimm as his assistant. My friend says that Mabel Ingle has just returned from Paris after two years in the art schools there. The orchestra is playing the overture. Now, I have time to look around. In the opposite box I notice a party of beautiful women and handsome men. Critic Clarke surprises me by revealing the names of the occupants of the box. They are Vance Holdam, who is still hounded by the sobriquet of Powder Puff , Glenn Liner, Ice Murray, D. D. Rich, and Harry Carver, the great comedian. These lucky movie idols escort Vivian Allen, Marjorie Ramsuer, Evadene Turner, Edna McAmis, and Virginia Olson. Friend Clarke tells me that Miss Olson has been recently elected to the presidency of the W. C. T. U. I also see Lucia Brabham, Mary Sue Cartwright, Catherine Mighton, and MargaretrWright who seem to be content judging by the voluble sounds arising from their box. The orchestra commands my attention now. Ed Poste's gyrations with the baton and the excellent music are subjects of discussion by many parties. Scanning the orchestra more closely I see many old friends. Hayes Brown, Karl Andrews, Harold Farrar, Benjamin Franklin, Sam Keith, Lloyd Platt, Seamore Shavin, Dorothy Soloff, john Whitten, and Conrad Duke are members. Intermission has now begun so I have a chance to catch up on th'e news by listening to Ken elucidate on past and present happenings. The gist of' the critic's rolonged talk is that Sara Lois Dent has been elected to the presidency of an exclusive schooib for girlsg Julian Wilson has received his promotion to the rank of corporal in the Tennessee State Militiag Margie Carson is hailed as a second Babe Didricksong Harry Rusbridge has been voted the best swim' mer in the movie colony: Juanita Miller has become secretary to Sears, Roebuck Company and it is no longer necessary for her to go back on the W. and L. g Dan Norris has been a pointed principal of C. H. S. Now I ventured to ask a few questions. By carefully combing the answers, discarding prejudices, opinions, etc., I find that Horace Hamb is a Senator from the State of Tennesseeg Eleanor Green is the senator's wife: Tom Reynolds has a large medicinal supply store in Memphisq and Arthur jones has twice swum the English Channel. The opera ends and I take leave of m friend, to try to get back sta e. But no use, the crowd carries me out, so I resign myself to the human current. Once outI have a run of luck in that I escape the trallic and arrive at the hotel early. While sitting in the lobby, a bridge fourfsome attracts my attention. A happy reunion is made when the identity of the bridge players is made known. Constable Ray Bryan: Hugh DeLuce, chemical engineer for Parke Davis and company: Wallace Frame, accountant at DuPont, and Dick Lynn, sales manager for Kellogg, have just been enjoying brid e and are now swapping yarns. Alas! SIeep claims another victim until I am awakened by sunlight streaming through the windows. Refreshed by sleep and a good breakfast, I get my car and drive down Fifth Avenue. Traic is comparatively light and a slow speed may be safely maintained. The talll oGce build- ings engage my attention. On one of these I see the title New York Health Club --Norvon Clark, president. Parking the car, I enter .the elevator and ind that Robert Lebovitz is the operator. On the third floor I entered the office of the Health Club and am greeted by the sec- retary--no, not Mildred White--but Erin Hanlin. She conducts me to Norvon's oice and ll X X . I ss N Iliave a hard time recognizing my old friend. After a short confab, he shows me the club and gymnasium rooms. In the gym working off adipose tissue are a goodly number of stout men. Norvon informs me that Iulius Parker, Robert Hetzler, Harry Brody, Cooper Johnston, Ed Parks, Karl Waggoner and Herman Colquitt are to be found groaning under the strenuous exercises. The physical directors are Dink Eldridge and Harry Bonny. Doc Krichbaum serves in the capacity of trainer while Noble Simmons directs organized teams in basketball and soccer. After a further glance at the gym I depart promising to call every time business necessitates my being in New York. Upon reaching the hotel, I receive a wire which causes me to leave New York and head for Chicago. I stop at a roadside filling station to find it operated by Jack McNabb. Again the road beckons and I glide along until the skyline of Chicago appears on the horizon. A large sign announces the Empire Hotel, William Shope, proprietor. Nadine O'Neal, clerk and secretary, gives me my key while it is Horact St. John, the house manager, who accom' panies me to my room. At lunch I learn that Mary Seward is the proprietor of the grill. In her employ are Dorothy Sagesar, Simmie Pavlow, and Iohanna Stutz. A clerk brings a letter which instructs me to interview members of the Revue of 195'0, the leading American Stock Company. The first person to be interviewed is none other than Peggy Skelton. Harmon Smith, property manager is next. Fro them I learn that Ruth Smith, Mildred Counts, Eleanor Overend, Margaret Kennedy, and ryohn Smartt are also mem' bers of the company, and Gordon Cheek is the advertising manager. This business accomplished I next go on to the oflices of the American Chemical Corporaf tion. Ruth Buchanan is secretary to President Roland Selman, who consents to let me see the chemists and catalogers at work, meanwhile detailing Chief Chemist William Hoback to be my guide. My eyes first light upon Earl Freeman, research assistant in pharmaceutical chemistry: Kenneth Huddleston, X-ray specialistg 'Louise 'Horne, experimental recorderg and Haymore McArthur, dye expert. My next stop is at the jenkins Filing and Recording Bureau. Dessie jenkins allows me to inspect the personnel. In the main office many persons are seated typing and filing. Among them I recognize Lucibel Johnson, Dorothy Lawson, Pearl Nash, Virginia Schoheld and Isabel Crutchfield. Miss jenkins informs me that the Amalgamated Insurance Company is just across the hall and that I will doubtless find a few of my friends there. The first person whom I see upon entering is George McMillan, chief accountant. In the clerical department are Nellie Kate Wallace. Cathryn 'Allison, Elaine Baker, and Dellas Dickerson. Louise Davis is private secretary to McMillan. As I leave the building, I meet Myrtle Cannon and Maurine Boyd who tell me that they are typists for a large publishing company. I also learn from them that this company publishes books by Abe Shavin, William Stanley, Manning Meacham, Charles Morris and Winifred Shaw. They direct my attention to a group of men standing by an unfinished sky scraper and point out Raphael Hope. Harry Garner, and John Newton, architects and designers who are completing plans for the building. Returning to the hotel, I pick up a copy of the Chicago Tribune. The Business Women's Association 0 America is holding a convention.. In the list of delegates I find the names of Eileen gprdan, Marjorie Roberts, Bertha Shavin, Betty Bush, Margaret Taylor, Elizabeth DeMars, Emma ee Orell and Robbie Lewis. Evelyn Cline is named on the executive committee. On. the next page I see the headline, Woman Lawyer Wins Case. None other than the auburn haired Carolyn Brockettf Another item-Bull and Company given building proiect. Irene Bull architect and H. M. Brown, contractor, are heads of thriving concerns. Fred Boye, Army Engineer Staff, reports the promotion of two army men: Moses Hyman to a post in the Traffic Control Department and Albert Stone to a post in the Biological Research Department. Eleanor Fulford, actress, and Lila D. Moore, the blues singer, have just returned from an European tour. With them is in, director of Broadway s latest hit. I read that the teacherfcity council war reaches a climax as a teacher committee composed of Mildred White, Marian Goldstein, Hazel Lloyd, and Betty Gene Gilbert present the ultimatum to the mayor. At the National Music Teacher's Convention, Margaret Eva Farmer, Alma Nicholas, Mary E. Fowler, Ruth Patton, and Lois Shelley, represent the Tennessee contingent. Juanita Peay, Mary Eleanor Hon, and Geraldine Smyre are playing with the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. I eat in a large coffee shop owned by Lenna Mae Reeves, who informs me that Mary Elizabeth King is dentist's assistant to Dr. Bill Langford. Doctor Aubrey Coplan has a new hospital and is at last by of becoming a great surgeon. Now to Nashville by plane, Pilot Earl Wester greets me at the airport and as fellow passengers I recognize Lois Swicegood, the great evangelist, Margaret Wasson, sales chief for t e pan , Josephine Davis, dietetic expert for U-Eat-Em, and Virginia Hellman, stewardess. ter landing at the airport we speed to The Hermitage, Nashville's leading -- 5 Q hotel. Here I meet Johnnie Chestnutt, Tennessee's foremost authority on literature, who per' suades me to visit the Modern Decorating Shoppe. The name plate informs me that jane Fergus and Iuanita Bostain, interior decorators, occupy the building. As neither is in, Iohnnie shows me the sewing room in which I see seamstresses Mildred Eurton, Sweet Sutton, Mary Sue Cate, Frances Hoge, and Susie Evans. Iohnnie admits being homesick, but tries to appear enthusiastic about Nashville. She next shows me Centennial Park, where promenading and showing off new spring clothes, are Amy Bauerle, Marjorie Spencer, Margaret Wright, Ellen Kinsey, Mary Nelle Johnson, Frances Guest, Virginia Harris, Laura Belle Powell, Bernice Mitchell, and Mary Stahl. A business appointment necessitates my leaving. I meet Wilfred Sweets, commissioner of education and he imparts the information that Kathryn Johnson, Nadine Harrell, Frances Rouse, Mabel Paris, Wilma Randall, Mary Nelle Strong, Margaret Kennedy, and Dorothy Whitcomb are teaching in Nashville schools. I then go to the United States Statistical and Weather Bureau, where weatherman Franklin Hahn answers my queries and starts my tour of inspection in the statistical ofhce during which I see jessica Embrey, Martha O'Kelley and Sara Freeman. On to Birmingham-ticket agent William gernigan informs me that I have ten minutes to wait for my train. I am hailed by engineer Jo n Riddle, and we chat until the whistle of my train blows. At Birmingham .I take in the Alabama State Fair. I meet Allyne Hatcher, Frances Kunkle, Joberta Robertson, Catherine Stafford, Edna Lee Williams, Mildred Clarke, Mary Ruth Catron, and Edna Drake. Later in the day I perceive a large crowd gathered in the front of a department store. When finally I squeeze through, I become aware that a sale is in progress.. As the sales ladies rush to and fro, I recognize some of them as Anna Grace Green, Louise Harris, Mary Margaret Miller, and Ida Richelson. Eugene Forwalter seems to be manager from the way he struts and barks orders. I now lind my way to the Southern Scientific Company, and here I meet Charles Combs. In the mailing department I also renew acquaintances with Blanche Finley, Barbara Klinger, Frances Thompson, and Athelene Powell. . Home beckons and I entrain for Chattanooga. The top of Lookout looks good after my long trip. At the station I meet Jewett Edwards, who, on finding that I've been gone for six months, wishes to tell me all the news. Allen Lee has been elected president of the Tennessee Hunters' Association, the Y. W. C. A. board of directors includes Marie Rou, Betty Roddy, Mary Elizabeth Shoocraft and Roberta Thatcher. Mary Julia Thach has been elected to the oliice of registrar. Cathryn Bowers is national delegate of Penwomen's Club. Edwards also tells me that Jack Gross has just one the 500 mile race at Indianapolis, Nancy Hall has been appointed girls' physical instructor at C. H. S., Peggy jackson owns the Petite Hat Shop in Str Elmo, Margaret Loard is still wise cracking'-but now at Powell Satirheld, Daisy Scoggins is head librarian with Louise Kemp, Goldie Raider, Emily Porter and Lillian Taylor as assistants. Ridding myself of news man Edwards who has accomplished his desire, .which is to be the town's chief loafer, I go to 7th St. Eugene johnston, the former football star, hails me to say that Burton Mullenix is physical director at the Y. M. C. A. john Richards has finally won the men's singles championshi after sixteen years effort. Louise Holdam and Mary Willard Carr have started a dancin school, Marcia Harmon is organizing an old maid's society, and Inez Caldwell is a nurse For the city. Noticing the crowds going up Seventh Street I question Eugene as to the cause and learn that the annual cooking school is in progress. 1 Thinking that I may meet more of my friends, I take leave of Iohnston and tread the way to the auditorium. To my joy I find many old friends present. Standing in a group around an exhibition are Jewell Smith, Louise Surrett, Sarah Holt Loder, Mary Minton, Sara Russell, Bertha Miller, Marjorie Schlief, Sadie Green, Sue Cook, Ruth Soloman, and Mae Belle Martin. On the stage sits a roup of women industriously plying pencil to notebook. Among them are Belle Kress, Iean Vfilliams, Clara Lichtenstetter, Marianna Miller, Marguerite Meyer, Glad s Sto e et, Ophelia Love, Virginia Ragon, Louise Saulpow, Dorothy Parks, and Elizabeth ra mg. ese ladies seem pleased and enthusiastic so I presume they are happil married. W. N. Jones and his Lookout Antiquers provide the musical entertainment. Photographers Mark Woods and Seisel jonakin are taking a picture of the cooking school. Betty Martin and Becky Winzimer are the demonstrators. Virginia Lee Bryan and Nancy Smith are reporters detailed to cover the school for the local papers. Quiet! Mayor Killough is going to make a speech, Robert Rouse had charge of radio broadcastin , while George Miller is the announcer. It seems incredible, yet I've seen or heardg of all those who graduated with me at C. H. S. in nineteen hundred thirtyefour. The one has now become the many, yet esprit de corps still niles supreme among the class of '34. 6 Q LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF THE CLASS OF 1934 We, the Senior class of 1934 of Chattanooga High School, County of Hamilton, State of Tennessee, being of sound mind, weak understanding and vague memory, do now declare this our last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills heretofore made by us. To the president of the class of '35 we bequeath the leadership of our beloved presi- dent, Horace Hamby. III. The military ability of Captains Johnston and Cogswell we leave to James ,Hilley and Dorman Ney. IV. The gridiron prowess of Captain Earl Brenneman we will to competent Jerry Golston. V. The neatness and good looks of Joe Murray and Glen Liner we will to Billy Stoner and Bennie Cloogman. V VII. We will Earl Gryder's conceit and his poor use of large words to Robert Shinbaum. VIII. Nancy Smith and Vivian Allen will their natural prettiness to Almeda Martin. IX. Kenneth Clark's ability to do things we bequeath to Billy Hagan. X. The sweet disposition of Evadene Turner and Sara Lois Dent we leave to Evelyn 'Landress and june Martin. XI. To any one who will receive and make it fit, we will the loud mouth of Hope Davies. XII. We hereby bequeath the grace and petiteness of Juanita Peay to Haskell Burden. XIII. The loquaciousness of Aubrey Coplan, we will to Evelyn Shell, not that we think she needs it, but we realize that no one else can get by with it. P XIV. The captivating smile and sunny disposition of Betty Roddey we bestow on Charles owe . ' XV. David Eldridge's job as athletic manager we bequeath to Bob Eldridge-since he will inherit it anyway. ' XVI. The wit of Harry Carver we bestow on Wilburn Black. , XVII. James Steakley and Wilma Randall will their avoirdupois to Bill Cooper and Josephine Watson. Q XIX. ,Juanita Miller's theme song Let's go back on the W and I. we will to next year's songl leader, but we advise her to discard it at once if she wishes to maintain the g0od'will of t e student body.
