A collection of humor, satire and other garbage from Baron Patrick Kaiser and the three serfs: “Cousin Pat Murphy , “Country Mike Hubly”, and “Brother Dave Costello’ , brought to you from picturesque and scenic downtown Chatsworth in the heart of the flatlands. Chatsworth, 1989. The Federal Reserve System has announced today that local “mooch Wayne Ashman, has just pinched his one millionth cigar. In addition, the Ford Corporation’s new president, Wayne Shols, has decided to re-manufacture the Edscl!-Atta boy, Wayne!-Local gossip has it from the town board that mayor Dennis Wahls, is displeased with local “fuz , Paul Kyburz, as a result of his dereliction of duty. Rumor has it that Paul Weller, “Devil-may-care-driving demon, and all around “good guy’’, is about to step in. Nadine Diller, who has taken 13 years to complete her study of the feeding habits of the Alaskan chipmunk, is home again!-No slack there gang! Barbara Scher, owner of the FICKLE FINGER OF FATE CAFE, declared the firing of cooks Jean Augsburger and Beverly Bailey. It seems our gourmets couldn’t decide on the melting flavor of the margarine they used. Bystanders at the scene, Shirley Klehm and Lindy Lighty, confessed dismay at the ensuing fight. Said Shirley, “Tastes like the high priced spread.”-Talk about wit!-Notice in the Plaindealer by local card player Austeen Hughes, seems to have created a rhubarb. Austeen claims “foul on Ann Kemmer in previous Thursday night bridge game. Persons in the know claim Anne screamed “Gin with a perfect trump.-Real cool girls. Hats off to Dennis Hornickel who rammed his car into one he was following last week, when it went 17 blocks with its directional signal flashing and never made a turn.-Give him one for us, Dennis!-Heard that David Gerdes of Chatsworth is recovering nicely after receiving a number of cuts, bruises and abrasions in a bar room brawl. It seems David accused the bartender, Bill Murphy, of having booze behind the bar. Bill discreetly remarked, “Such a vulgar display of emotion has never before been witnessed in my establishment.' Mark Haberkorn was right on the spot to assist in quelling the upheaval. When asked for a comment Mark simply replied, “All you need to be successful is ambition and initiative.”-Mark says the damdest things!-The Sports Line is really groovy. Mike Somers, All-American from Whatsamatta University, won international fame in the following events: Marathon, Decathon. Pentagon, Octagon, Quadrangle, and Square. Mike’s comment was, “Without the inspiration of my friend and fellow athlete. Linda Gerth. I might notta made it through Whatsmattcr U.’’ Hats off to Edward Schmid, who made that valiant attempt at the Presidency of the United States last year. Ed’s campaign manager Dick Cording was at a loss for words concerning Chatsworth’s favorite son’s defeat. Ed is the only candidate in history to have his name erased from the ballot more times than he was voted for.-“C’mon gang, give him a break!’’-Cletus Watson and Steve Kurtenbach are back in jail for protesting. They were simply displaying grievances against Mother’s Day Cards, toothpaste without “Flouristan”, Lawrence Welk, and pay toilets. Good to know they are finally doing something constructive. The Missing Persons Bureau reports that after 20 years of absence from their beloved home town, Peace Corps volunteers Carol Harvey, Ellen Milstead, Diane Hubly. and Ellen Rebohlz were discovered staggering west from the vast wastelands 5 miles east of Chatsworth. They left on a supposedly suicidal mission to attempt to civilize the natives of northern Ford country. They had virtually aged 40 years or so, and when asked for an explanation stated that, “No human would ever be able to live or attend school there safely!’’ New names in the news include Ed Hubly’s 106th litter of little piggies this year. As you all know, Ed just returned from the annual Lompoc Swine-breeders Convention, and Spinal Cord Revue, where he had the honor of throwing out the first back. “Talk About Sheik Department” has John Reinitz resigning from the Shell Corporation, because they wouldn’t let him be the Answer Man.-A truly tragic example of stupidity-Flight 101, from Boise, Idaho, to Dodge City, Kansas, is one trip Joyce Mullens will always remember. As an airline stewardess for “Wright Bros. Airlines”, she flies many miles a year, in a twin-engine bi-plane. Trouble on this flight started when school teacher Debby Stuckey, and female veternarian, Julie Conibear boarded the plane; they both wanted to sit by the window. There is only one window. This situation was remedied by them being locked in the luggage compartment. Miss Mullens then proceeded to serve coffee, tea, or milk during the first showing of a Porky Pig cartoon. By the 11th showing. Miss Conibear and Stuckey had enough, and ran amuck in the plane, beating up the other passenger. Without further incident, the plane landed safely and the two ladies were led away. Their trial comes up next month. We claim justifiable homicide, due to Porky Pig’s stutter. Miss Mullens is on the road to recovery after falling out of the plane. Obituaries Chatsworth was shocked last week, when news reached here of the death of Richard M. Davis. Rich ran into a tree while walking home. It happened to be a very old tree and it fell on him. Shocking!! Rich lives on a range out west so it is too bad he will never see his home on the range again! He is survived by his motorcycle, cat, and car battery. 55 CLASS OF 1969 Compliments: Dillen Tile Company 57 HONORS 58 Varsity Football Varsity Football—Row One: D. Costello, M. Hubly, J.
