Chatsworth High School Jjresentecf by t£e Q Sports Editor--Nila Jo Bachtold Co-Editor--Joyce Lindquist Junior Editors--Pat Somers Kathy Livingston Business Manager--Linn Gillett Art Editor--Lois Kyburz Advisor--Mr. Eston Case 7a e Zbeaf iers 0 Dedication We, the Yearbook Staff, are proud to dedicate the 1964 Tale Feathers to Mr. James Curtis, our efficient and faithful custodian at Chatsworth High School for the past eighteen years. This poem, written by Mr. Curtis, expresses his feelings upon his retirement. MY FRIENDS ADIEU Eighteen years have come and went In busy day's that I have spent, With happy hours engendered here By the many friends I hold most Dear. Each one of you has helped to make My life so rich and rare, And may the Good Lord Bless You all Will forever be my Prayer. And may He always smile on You With Star dust every day, And may He make the sun to shine And the clouds all flee away. May every wish you make come true And your troubles all be small While He keeps His eye Upon you For He watches over all. As with reverence I shall remember And will always want to know That each will be well and happy Wherever you may go. Your plan of life will open up With the greatest of success. Just keep the Master close to you And He, will always Bless. Every rose will have no thorns And Joy will fill each heart, But now my friends, I must say Adieu. At last we have to Part. Ever and Always your friend. What you do during this period will set the pace for the years to follow. I hope that you will make the best use of this period by furthering your education or training because the jobs for unskilled people are becoming fewer each year. During the past four years, we have tried to prepare you for this period in your life. We have tried to make you aware of the rights and privileges of others and other people's property. I hope that some of these thoughts will become more meaningful to you in the years ahead because you are to be the citizens and leaders of this community, state, and world in the future Jiocircf „o C ducat ion Charles Culkin-President Milford Irwin Clyde Hornickel Allen Diller-Secretary Charles Elliott Harlan Kahle Burnell Watson 5 Mrs. Bergan English III, IV Tatler Mr. Richard Hawley Spanish I, II Spanish Club Mr. Kapper Social Problems Am.
