F.H.A. Sponsor Mrs. Alice June Pool The F.H.A. had a very prosperous and exciting year with many highlights that the girls will always remember. One of these was the Daddy Date Night on March 7. It consisted of a potluck supper and games played by the fathers and the daughters. The second highlight was the trip to Chicago on March 16. The girls saw To Kill A Mockingbird , and then spent the afternoon shopping. F.H.A. week, April 1-7 brought great fun to C.H.S. Some of the events that took place were: election of officers, dress up day, and This Is Your Life, Teachers . Last but not least was the F.H.A. Mother-Daughter Tea. After installation of the new officers, there was a fashion show consisting of the articles the girls had made. Fancy sandwiches, cake, and punch were then served by the F.H.A. members. C. FFA Sponsor Mr. John Smith Highlights of 1962-63 for the F.F.A. were: Trip to International Livestock Show - Nov. 24, 1962. Greenhand Initiation - Dec. 15, 1962. Delegate went to F.F.A. Farm Bureau Conference - Dec. 25, 1962. Farm Bureau Acquaintance Day - Feb. 12, 1963. Slave Sale - Feb. 22, 1963. Parent Son Banquet - April 29, 1963. Foundation Awards - Feb. 27, 1962. State Farmer Interviews - March 6, 1963. SEATED: Jim Elliott - Pres., Tom Kurtenbach - Vice Pres. Paul Augsburger - Treasurer. Mark Shafer - Secretary. STANDING: Steve Saathoff - Sentinel, Ron Knoll - Reporter. As is the custom at all home tootball games and basketball games the boys sold popcorn. The boys also worked hard on their Scrap Drive, Garden Seed Sale, Pest Control Contest and Public Speaking Contest. In the fall the F.F.A. members and their dates enjoyed a hayride. FIRST ROW: P.
