Rosendahl, Paul, Stow, L. Rosendahl, Maple- thorpe First Row: Hill, Culkin, Hummel, Ribordy, Gutzwiler, Mr. Collins The C. T. H. S. 1940 football team won 4 of its games and lost 5, and placed third in the Vermillion Valley Conference race, losing its final games to Saunemin and Forrest. Championship laurels were shared equally by Forrest and Herscher. Joe Ribordy suffered the only serious casualty of the year, having received a dislocated elbow in the Saunemin game. Six Seniors, seven Juniors, four Sophomores, and one manager won letters. Lexington nosed out Chatsworth in the last inning of the Fairbury District Tournament by one point. This thriller wound up the season of baseball at C. T. H. S.
