I if fry, Glass gfistory THE CLASS OF 1961 is unique in that we have attended Senior High School for only three years: however, looking back, we seem to have packed more activities, projects, experiences, and good times into our three years than all the former classes put together. There was our first wonderful sophomore year under the able leadership of our class officers, John Storey, Bob Klase. Lynn Strandine and John Hall. The most outstanding event was our participation in the First Annual Spring Festi- val. lVlany of us took part in both the Concert and the G.A.A. Show and displayed by our enthusiasm and interest our de- sire lor the continuation of this combined activity. As we finished up our first exciting year in the school, our new home. we were proud to have our own uhundle of energy, Linda Miller. chosen to represent us on the Cheerleading Squad and our swell sophisticatef' Noelle Quakenbush, elected to the Twirling Squad. ' The next year seemed to come quickly, and it brought with it new adventures we were eager to explore. The fall ushered in a First--the one gigantic, combined sports, Homecoming, presided over by a Fall Sports Queen. Finally. there they were in the colors of the rainbow-blue, red and green. Oi course. our Class Ringsl Vve knew the year was passing quickly when May came and brought with it the College Boards we'd all been dreading. What else occurred in May? Why, of course. the biggest Student Council Campaign in the history of Chatham High School was conducted. We threw ourselves into it with all our enthusiasm and came out with the best man for the job-Art Harrigan. But we saved the best 'til last. September came and we were seniors. Under John Halls capable leadership we en- joyed a memorable and fruitful year. Football and soccer will never be forgotten. Homecoming was especially meaningful because we were full of spirit and enthusiasm for our teams and overllowing pride in our Fall Sports Queen, Linda Chl. ' rf IQ, . Q. ,D ' P k' It J ' V . . rpm. Although the senior year was filled with the hustle-bustle of too many activities, the tenseness of college acceptances, and the abundance of schoolwork, we shall all remember it as a most wonderful time.
