our class have been active partici- pants in the G. A. A. sports and shows. Under the leadership of our captain, Alice Reed, our senior hockey team was victorious in all the games played. Shirley Craven's skillful play- ing vuon her the position of forward on thc All State Hockey Team. Bar- bara Ball, the only other girl to be chosen for state teams, was a member of thc All State Reserve Hockey Team last year, All in all, the girls have outstandingfy taken part in sports. The boys have also made a good showing many being on the varsity baseball team for a'l four years Bert Abbazla played on varsity soccer and baseball teams and Leo Kymer on the baseball team since Freshmen days Others xx ho have been on varsity teams for three years or less are Lee Fancher Skip Tler Ed Murphy Drtk Conway Bob Pridham Dave Barte Ricky Drake Bill Metcalfe Bob Underhlll and Adolph Niedbalski Dick Smythe has acted as the able manager of all the teams this year Our basketftball team was awarded the 'Vladlson Ea.gle's trophy presented for the first time this year to the team that wins the Class A title Here s hoping that the s hool will win for two more years so that we can retain permanent possession of lt NOTABLES IN THE NEWS 'VIr Wlllram Metcalfe president or TIME aan..
