Sixth Grade L Row 1: Evelyn Kalb, Rita Vredenburgh, Susan Wilson, Sandra Auck, Roselyn Green, Patsy Rothhaar, Eunice Zucker. Row 2: Mrs. Van Horn, Everett Leuthold, Larry Stein, Mark May, Lloyd Kalb, Glen Kalb. Absent: Clarence Agee. Last fall the sixth grade had fifteen pupils enrolled, but during the year Thomas Eidson and Lois Lammers withdrew. As part of the P. T. A. program in February we 'put on a play Young Abe Lincoln , and Choral reading Old Glory , with the help of the fifth grade. For two months we had the highest per centage of parents present at P. T. A. and received S10. Our Halloween, Christmas and Valentine parties were enjoyed by all. We had our party in the cafeteria but our room was decorated for each occasion. We enrolled in the American Junior Red Cross and contributed to the March of Dimes. One of our main projects was putting a map of Europe on the blackboard and a display of different items from each country on a table. There is some uncertainty as to what we will buy with the P. T. A. money, but we are thinking of a clock for our room. 25 Vu

Seventh Grade Row 1: Margaret Leonhart, Dorothy Dickey, Carol Gottfried, Florice Brause, Rosalind Volk, Martha Brose. Row 2: Mrs. Geissman, Robert Zucker, Floyd Mollencopf, Norman Brown, James Kalb, Edward Vinson, Allan Clady. Row 3: Margie Schanzenbach, Joyce Sand, Marie Keysor, Agnes Wurm, Rosalyn Schifer, Helen Kocher. Absent: Alfred Rarick, Shirley Kirby, Gwendolyn Lutz. In September 1951, the class. of '57 entered the seventh grade eager and willing to start a new and exciting life. Officers of the class were elected as follows: President, Martha Brose, Vice President, Dorothy Dickey: Secretary, Norman Browng Treasurer, Allan Cladyg News Reporter, Rosalyn Schiferg Sponsor, Mrs. Inez Geissman. Two new boys were enrolled this year: Edward Vinson who formerly attended Bucyrus school, and Austin Eidson who moved into our community from Tennessee. Austin was with us several weeks. Then he moved again. Martha Brose who had been ill with polio the previous year again joined us. A gift exchange was held at Christmas time. One of the exciting adventures this year was the roller skating party which we attended with the eighth grade. We all enjoyed the party which was held at the Bloomville rink. 24 I

Fifth Grade Row 1: Barbara Schiefer, Karen Ostermyer, Linda Auck, Bernard Wurm, Robert Lutz, Karen Kalb, Rita Volk. Row 2: Mrs. Van Horn, Marcella Auck, Connie Garret, Jerry Laipply, Larry Feichtner, Paul Zimmerman, Virgil Gottfried, Robert Schifer, Richard Redman. Row 3: Naomi Luidhardt, Joan Green, Joann Graves, Ruth Schanzenbach, Wanda Bevins, Ruth Loyer, Ernest Bushong, Bill Dickey. Absent: Shirley Harris. Last Fall twenty-four pupils were enrolled in the fifth grade. Wanda Bevins, Ernest Bushong, and Shirley Harris joined us this year. During the year we enjoyed Halloween and Valentine parties in the cafeteria. We also had a Christmas exchange. At Halloween time we took one complete blackboard to draw Ghost Town in color. For the P. T. A. program the class, with the aid of the sixth grade, put on a play, Young Abe Lincoln . We also did a choral reading on Old Glory . We took part in the Christmas Operetta and May Day exercises.. We've worked on several projects during the year, including sun dials, map drawings, and writing of poems. Almost everyone will receive the Ohio Pupil's Reading Circle Book seals, for reading the required number of books. During the year we enrolled in the American Junior Red Cross and contributed to the March of Dimes.
