Eighth Grade l Row 1: Silas Beal, Lois Sharrock, Margaret Ross, Dorothy Gerhart, Ruthie Schwemley, Carolyn Schifer, Gary Smith. Row 2: Miss Smith, James Lutz, Roger'Rothhaar, Thomas Clinger, Carmen Heiser, William Eicher, Henry Bushong, James Leuthold. Row 3: Robert Kalb, Leonard Kocher, Paul Beal, David Webb, Larry Vredenburgh, Ronald Sand. Absent: Roger Long, Paul Vinson, Jackie Kirby. The eighth grade started another year in Junior High. We elected officers at the beginning of the year. They are as follows: President, Robert Kalb: Vice President, Carmen Heiserg Treasurer, Paul Beal: Secretary, Roger Rothhaarg Student Council, Leonard Kocherg and Sponsor, Miss Virginia Smith. We invited the Seventh Grade to a roller -skating party at Bloomville roller skating rink in January. We all had a wonderful time including the tumbles and spills . At the beginning of the year we gained two new students. Henry Bushong from Marion, and Paul Vinson from Bucyrus. We also lost one member, Emma Jean Lammers who moved to Edwardsport, Indiana. Now we are looking forward to next year when we will become Freshmen. ,za

C Row 2: Mrs. Eula Brown, Donald Kalb, Lyle Shock, Howard Sheely, Donald Auck, Paul Kanney, William Leuthold, Carl Kalb, Richard Schanzenbach. The ninth grade enrolled two new members at the beginning of the year, William Leuthold formerly of Lykens and Paul Kanney who attended' school at New Washington. On February 29, we had charge of Chapel. On March 28, we -gave our assembly. At the end of the year, we gave a high school party as a farewell for the Seniors. Seventh Grade Row 1: Margaret Leonhart, Dorothy Dickey, Carol Gottfried, Florice Brause, Rosalind Volk, Martha Brose. Row 2: Mrs. Geissman, Robert Zucker, Floyd Mollencopf, Norman Brown, James Kalb, Edward Vinson, Allan Clady. Row 3: Margie Schanzenbach, Joyce Sand, Marie Keysor, Agnes Wurm, Rosalyn Schifer, Helen Kocher. Absent: Alfred Rarick, Shirley Kirby, Gwendolyn Lutz. In September 1951, the class. of '57 entered the seventh grade eager and willing to start a new and exciting life. Officers of the class were elected as follows: President, Martha Brose, Vice President, Dorothy Dickey: Secretary, Norman Browng Treasurer, Allan Cladyg News Reporter, Rosalyn Schiferg Sponsor, Mrs. Inez Geissman. Two new boys were enrolled this year: Edward Vinson who formerly attended Bucyrus school, and Austin Eidson who moved into our community from Tennessee. Austin was with us several weeks. Then he moved again. Martha Brose who had been ill with polio the previous year again joined us. A gift exchange was held at Christmas time. One of the exciting adventures this year was the roller skating party which we attended with the eighth grade. We all enjoyed the party which was held at the Bloomville rink. 24 I
