Sefven th Grade FRONT ROW: Roger Long, Clyde Rossman, Kenneth Tobin, Carl Kalb and Richard Schanzenbach. MIDDLE ROW: Miss Smith, Mary Webb, Mary Schanzenbach, Zoa Eicher, Christine Zornes, Anne Blackford and Joyce Zucker. BACK ROW: Donald Kalb, Robert Slater, Lyle Shock, Donald Auck, Alden Betts and Howard Sheely. Rather nervous, but happy, we began our first year of Junior High. We were shy at first, but proud. We elected officers at the beginning of the year. These leaders ful filled their duties under the sponsoring of Miss Smith. They are: President .... . ............ Donald Kalb Vice-President. . . Anne Blackford Treasurer .... . . . Roger Long Secretary .... . . Kenneth Tobin Student Council. . . . . . Carl Kalb During the year we gave a Christmas Party for the eighth grade. Robert Slater gave a class party at Halloween. We gave the Christmas Chapel. Reverend Lamrners was our speaker. We pre- sented an assembly in February. It was a minstrel show. We are looking forward to the last year in Junior High. 25

Sixth Grade FRONT ROW: Larry Vredenburgh, David Webb, Paul Beal, Carolyn Schifer, Emma Jean Lammers, Silas Beal, Leonard Kocher, Robert Kalb. BACK ROW: Barbara Eden, Ruth Schwemley, Margaret Ross, Marilyn Auck, Carmen Heiser, Gary Smith, Roger Rothhaar, William Eicher and Mr. Swain. ABSENT: Dorothy Gerhart and James Lutz. We have been plowing a fairly straight furrow through such things as World Geography, English Grammar, and Ancient History. Mr. Swain has been having us draw maps and pictures, make Christmas cards, and study to occupy our spare time. We gained one new member, Darrel Johns, but lost him after several weeks Carmen Heiser, Margaret Ross, Carolyn Schifer, and Larry Vredenburgh have been most consistent in staying on the honor roll. We are also developing some good basketball players and cheerleaders fwe hopel. Z7
