In November some of us helped the Juniors present their play, Mama's Baby Boy . At the end of the month we had our Senior pictures taken. By January we were all busy working on the annual and planning our graduation exercises. Yes, the Seniors were very busy this year, and then too soon we found we must say Farewell to our happy school years. ----Carol Schnarenberger Class Prophecy It was in the spring of 1960 that I decided to take a vacation out West. I made a reservation on the new streamlined train, the Flyin' Chief . I boarded the train at 5:00 in the evening. When making a tour of the new rocket powered train I learned that the engineer was none other than Lester Sheely. He smiled and shook hands with me and said, This is a little different from the Model A I used to drive, isn't it? I said yes and asked him how the family was. He said fine and told me he had three children. QI'-Iis wife comes from Lykens.l At six o'clock we stopped off at Chicago where I decided to spend the evening, so I went to one of the popular night clubs for my dinner. After eating, I watched the chorus girls for awhile. Right away I noticed that one of them was none other than Mary Lou Laipply! After the show I went backstage and talked to her, and she told me she had married an actor and lived in a big mansion. She also said she had two children. When I went to a hotel I found that the girl at the desk was Donna Ross. She told me she was doing very well and was engaged to the owner of the hotel. The next morning I-again boarded the train and headed for Texas and a dude ranch where I had decided to spend a week. The man who greeted me was Bill Gerhart, a real western cowboy and the manager of the dude ranch. When he showed me around the ranch, I met one of the other dudes for dudesses I should saylv Carol Schnarenberger, a classmate I knew so long ago when I was in Chatfield High. She told me she was married and her husband came from Sulphur Springs. She also said that she had come out West for her vacation and was having a wonderful time. I inquired about the re st of the class and found out that Donald Eppley was in Dixie in the deep South. Bill gave me his address, so -I headed for the South. The next morning I woke up in Miami, Florida, and went to the address I had been given. I found Donald still in bed and was told by hisbutler to come back at ten. When I came back Mr. Eppley was up and was lying on the sofa. He told me he had had a bad night. I asked him what he was doing nowadays and he said he was working at the Stork Club and was doing an impersonation of Al Jolson. After a lengthy visit I decided to head for Ohio where I lived on a farm of my own. My nieces and nephews will inherit my farm because I am still a bachelor, you know. - - -Lyle Rothhaar Class Prophet 16
