“ We began our last school year in 1948. Only six members make up the Q49 graduates. We elected the following officers'at the beginning of the yearg President, Walden Brauseg Vice President, Dolores hreimg Secretary, Bhyllis Ustermyerg Treasurer, Barbara Mollencopf, Student Council Rep., Donna Brown, News Reporter, Albert McCoy. Our sponsor is Mrs. Eula Brown. Be had the pleasure of initiating the freshmen at a Hard Times Party on October 8. We had a grand old square dance that night. We joined in with the juniors in giving the play nMother Does The 'alkingn on November 12. All of us broke the camera at Heinrich's Stud o at Bucyrus for our class pictures. The seniors sponsored a chapel October 28. Rev. Ivan Immel of Whetstone was our guest speaker. On February 5, Donna Brown, Dolores Kreim, and Phyllis Ustermyer journeyed to Sulphur Sprinis school to take the Senior Scholarship Test in which Donna placed seventh in the county. Welden Brause took the Agriculture Test the same day. We selected our gowns, name cards, and invitations in the month of February, and gave the senior play nAmazing Cracieu on may 15. Our class colors are blue and white, class flower, red rose, and class motto, Hlaunched But hot Anchorec.n Baccalaureate Services were held on Sunday evening, may 22, 1949. Cur speaker was Rev. Norman Somerville from the First Methodist Church, Calion, Ohio. Commencenent Serviceswere Thursday evening, May 26, 1949, and our Speaker was Rev. T. C. Stellhorn, Zion Lutheran Church, Sand- usky, Ohio. l'm sure all of us in the ccring years will look back and remember the happy days we had together in good old C.H.S.
