Dear Friends: Better communities will build a better America. Your Adult Education program is one medium which is doing something of a positive nature to weld a strong community spirit: a program where the community and public school are pulling together with emphasis upon the total well-being of the individual and his privileges and responsibilities as a ci-Linn. The Adult Education idea was born because people felt a need for such a program and recognized the fact that man is capable of growth and development throughout his life. It is a tribute to the adult's ability and willingness to learn and keep on learning and to build a fuller and happier li.fe for himself, his family and friends. This year in Chateaugay marks my first experience with an Adult Education program. I have been thrilled with the willingness to serve and the enthusiasm to share on the part of the community and school personnel. It has been my personal experience to have always worked with thoughtful, generous and cooperative people. Yet, the friends in the community of Chateaugay, the School Board, administration and faculty of ChateaugayCentral School, have, without reservation stood apart from any community I have known when it comes to being interested in and concerned about each others' welfare. -X I wish to especially thank the members of our advisory council, the coordinators, the instructional staff, and all class members for their continuous support of, and faith in, our program. Sincerely, Adrian H. Wood Director, Adult Education
