NEANDRATHALS TO ATOMS World History is a course offered pri manly to Sophomores To many stu dents it is an introduction to the field of social sciences The primary aim and purpose IS to endoctrmate students to the various affairs of the past as they influence our modern society An un derstandlng of many political military and social practices of today that have direct relation to affairs of the past DEVELOPING POISE No matter what profession one en- ters it is always an advantage to be able to speak convincingly. This abil- ity may be acquired by anyone who is willing to put forth the necessary ef- fort. This is the fundamental purpose of a speech class. The speech student must acquire poise, learn spontaneity, know how to stand correctly, practice good tone production, learn how to or- ganize a speech and to express one's ideas to the best advantage.
