Whether Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior, we were students of Chase City High School, --a group of teen-agers who met together five days a week from 8:40 in the morning until 3:20 in the afternoon. We argued about clean-up problems around the school grounds--but we cheered together for the same football team. The Seniors felt superior and looked down upon the Juniors who looked down upon the Sophomores who looked down upon the Freshmen. And the lowly Freshmen simpled looked over the hill to the elementary school. But we all kept our eyes on a single goal when it was necessary. As one large student body we could cooperate and work as one unit. We did feel closest to our own class--but we never forgot that it was only part of the whole--Chase City High School.
