Today, a bewildering variety of rapid change lays staggering demands on the lives of all of us. The breathtaking advance of science and technology has outpaced our ability to make the necessary adjustments in humanistic terms. What are our physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual requirements for this new age? lf we are to survive, then understand we must. Such understanding can only evolve through education. Education is no longer a lux- ury. lt is as necessary as food, clothing, and shelter. Without it, we are defenseless in a complex, industrialized society. So we urge each of you in the class of ,68 to continue your education beyond high school, in some form, as your ability and means will permit. And, for the educational milestone you are about to reach this June, please accept a sincere Sewell done from more than 2,700 of your fellow citizens who work for McGraw- Edison Power Systems Division, Canonsburgfk Formerly Permsylvania Transformer l32 BUSINESS MACHINE SUPPLIES N.
