. Eva, ELA55 SUNG TUNE: You and I. Here's to old Tech High as we say Good-bye. To friends and classmates true. For we've reached the top of our school, Learned every rule, too. But the blue and gold our respect will hold As days and years roll by. And we leave a part of each loyal heart to OLD TECH HIGH. -PEGGY SIMPSON. FAHEWELL TU TEEH Farewell to you, Tech Students, We'll miss you when we go, Our joy will be made dimmer By parting with Tech, we know. But each must go, and go alone To meet the wide wor1d's needs, To meet the business people Who planted for us the seeds. Our childhood days are over, We stand mature now. We'1l go out unflinching, Holding back the tears, somehow. The Juniors now will take our place. They'1l follow through this year, You know we hate to give to them The things we've held so dear. But when our hearts have settled down And when we think it o'er U It isn't as if you had, in our face Just slammed the closing door. No, we are leaving with heads upheld. We're an honor to Tech, it seems, And the Juniors and the Sophomores See us fulfill their dreams. So up with our heads and shoulders back It isn't a whole life wreck, It's just shutting one door and opening another. An honor to dear old Tech. And though we hate to leave you, We'1l proudly say Good-bye, For we know that we'll be loyal To our own dear old Tech High. -PEGGY SIMPSON. Page Twenty-two 1942 TEEHNIUUE
