CL SS HISTUHY It seems wrong to think or talk of leaving Tech. We've been here so long and had so many wonderful times that it seemed such happiness could never end, but the end is coming nearer and nearer. Before we realize it, our school life will be over in reality, but there are many things we can relive in memory. For instance, can you forget Ceven if you tryj the way Miss Wheeler always said, And seventeen other different things, or the enjoyment we got out of the twelfth grade English taught us by Mrs. Kistler? Of course, we will return every fall for the football season, but those teams will never be able to compete with our teams. We will always come to see the annual Junior Play, but can any other play come up to the very high standard set by our play, The Red-Headed Stepchild ? We are finishing school in what is probably the most critical period in American history. We realize this fact, but we believe that no other high' school could have fitted us better for a place in this future of America. By our class- room discussions of the daily happenings we have learned to appreciate and use our liberty. We are determined to do our part to defend these'civil liberties. As we look around us now at the school we are leaving and compare it with the school it was when we entered, we find that many changes have taken place. We now have a band and music classes which were started by Miss Louise Brockwell, now Mrs. Joselyn, in '36, Physical education. classes now under the direction of Miss Alice Suiter and Coach Dick Thompson were started in '36. We now have an Honor Society and a Student Council which were brought back to life by Miss Clegg in '39 and '40, respectively. French classes were begun by Mrs. Davidson in '39, And last but not least, the publi- cation of the TECHNIQUE was revived in '39. The present publication is in the hands of Charles Bradshaw, Editor-in-Chief, Peggy Simpson, Associate Editor, and Peggy Pope, Business Manager. This last year at school has been a very busy one for us. We have been rushing hither and yon getting ads for the annual, deciding on the ring we wanted, electing superlatives, and, of course, studying hard so that we would pass, when June came. In 1941 we had delegates representing Tech at the State Student Council Congress. Some of the outstanding members of our class are Marcus Yandle, President of the Senior Class and the Honor Society: Peggy Simpson, Associate Editor of the TECHNIQUE and Class Poet: Charles Bradshaw, Editor of the TECH- NIQUE and Class Lawyer: and Clyde Kiser, the only Post-graduate. ' Of course, life was not all study and hard work--we had our fun. We had hundreds of outings--swimming parties, theater parties, Weiner roasts, and just plain parties. PEGGY POPE, Class Historian.
