Looking over the following pages of my diary I find pictures of instructors, classmates, friends, and places which will be unforgettable to me. This diary will soon be a book of the past, and Charlotte Memorial Hospital School of Nursing will be a stepping-stone to the future — my profession of nursing. The fond memories and heartaches of my student nursing days as I have lived and loved them are captured in these pages, and they will be cherished forever. tdxtnixtin We are grateful to you for . . . Many helpful suggestions. Ability to be understanding. Doing for others as the Golden Rule implies. Giving your time generously. Endeavoring to guide us, without dominating us. Preparing us to assume the responsibilities of Nursing. Respecting the feelings and beliefs of others. Observing, tact and consideration. Patience with our inexperience. Somehow making us believe in ourselves. Teaching us by example the dignity of nursing.
