Being an exchange-student and living in a foreign country, especially one as interesting as America, is a great experience, Charlotte High is a wonderful school and I feel very much at home here. Everyone has been wonderful, helpful and friendly to me and I am certain that it is the people rather than the beauty of any coun- try that makes its visitors welcome. After being here, I find that there is very little difference, besides the difference in language, between people here in the United States and people back home in British North Borneo and, in fact, people all over the world. Here in Rochester, I live with the Whitmore family. They have taken me into their home, have shared every- thing with me and through them, I have learned the American way of life.
