Charlotte High School has a new and welcome figure in its fold this year. From a combined job at East High School where he was both in charge of East High Annex and Vice principal of the school comes our new Vice principal Mr. Gates. Born in Hornell, N. Y., Mr. Gates grad- uated from Olean High School and worked in the shoe and the banking business be- fore attending Colgate University. Glenn M. Denison, Principal We, the Class of 1957 feel that we are privileged to have as our principal Mr. Glenn Denison. During his eleven years as Principal of Charlotte High School he has tried to solve all problems with equal fairness. Friendliness, good humor, and a sincere desire to know each student . . . these are only a few of the many fine qualities which Mr. Denison has shared with us. 10 To the Class of 1957: Many years ago Albert Einstein remarked that science cannot produce happiness un- til men produces sense. Making sense today means leaming quickly how to get along with each other. Only thus can individuals hope for hap- piness and peoples for peace. Make this a major goal of your con- tinuing education.
