Since then, he has been teacher, friend, and adviser to the classes that have come and gone. He was graduated in l922 from Port Allegany High School in Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in l93l from the University of Rochester and earned his Master of Arts Degree in 1937. Mr. Miller began teaching at Charlotte in the English Department. Because of his interest in national and inter- national affairs, he soon transferred to the Social Studies Department. Before entering the teaching profession he had been a newspaper reporter. He has his own printing press and still retains his interest in journalism as a hobby. To you, Mr. William J. Miller, the class of June, l95l, dedicates this issue of The Witan .
