IN MEMORIAM In the old school and the new, Mr. Allen served the teachers and pupils of Charlotte faithfully, cheerfully, and loyally for twenty-five years. His interest in his work was excelled only by the sincere interest in the people with whom it brought him in contact. Monitors, team members, council and committee members, seniors and seventh graders were all his friends. After his retirement in 1946 he was often a welcome visitor in the building The community was shocked and grieved by his untimely death on April 23 1948 Mr Clarence Allen Richard Newman 3 February 3 1932 November 27 1948 The student body and teachers of Charlotte Hugh School were shocked and saddened over the death of Richard Newman a member of the class of 1950 To the people who knew Duck best there will remain always the memory of a quiet lad who was a good citizen a boy who enloyed life a pupil who had a host of friends 3 B We shall all miss his friendly smile his quiet sense of humor and his willingness to do his share 9 I A , . n 11' l l l I 4.:g,xw-fails. .
