we step off the bus arm In arm As we stroll down the sux wide lanes of Lake Avenue we are astounded by the rapidity with which the Char Iotte village hos become a paradise of modern enter prlse All around us we see neon signs sngmfylng the wealth and prosperity of this great and growing center of actlvlty The first oblect that looms into sight IS our old alma mater Charlotte Hugh School Upon entering the building we are trampled by a thundering herd mad rush to catch the Toronto Supersonic Special As we puck ourselves up from the steps our attention ns attracted to a solemn ceremony In a quaint little ceme tery across the highway Venturing closer we witnessed a rltual for Sam GRISWOLD who attempted to lump the Stutson Street Bridge with his tame bear He tried to perfect the feat at which his Idol Sam Patch had failed Services were administered by the Rev Mr FRASER pastor of the local church KATHRYN FYFE and KATE GEREW are mourning the passing of their hero Contlnulng on our
